PRIVACY POLICY
Your workday stays yours.
Effective 5 September 2026
Luma is the app and service described in this policy. The responsible developer is identified on Luma’s App Store listing. This policy explains what stays on your device, what subscription providers process, and what we receive when you contact us through this website.
Workday data stays on your device
Luma stores the following locally so it can provide the features you request:
- workdays, shift times, commute choices, buffers, and morning preferences;
- alarm, sound, snooze, notification, and checklist preferences;
- wake, snooze, departure or ready actions;
- arrival check-ins, lateness reasons, history, statistics, and learned adjustments.
Luma uses Apple app-group storage so its widget, Live Activities, notifications, AlarmKit actions, and App Intents can complete the actions you request. Luma does not upload this work schedule or punctuality history to the developer, employers, or another subscription or analytics provider. Luma does not request workplace location, contacts, calendars, health data, camera, microphone, or advertising identifiers.
Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. Luma uses StoreKit 2 to load subscription products, verify Apple’s signed subscription status on your device, and restore access. Luma contains no third-party subscription or analytics SDK and does not send purchase history, subscription status, or an app user identifier to the developer or another provider. Luma does not receive or store payment-card details.
If you start an eligible annual trial while Luma notifications are enabled, Luma schedules an on-device notification before the trial ends. The reminder does not upload your work schedule or punctuality history.
Support emails and website inquiries
You can email support@tryluma.work. ImprovMX forwards messages to our Gmail support inbox. These providers process your sender address, message, attachments, and delivery information to deliver and store your request. We use this information to respond and manage support or privacy requests.
If you submit the support form, we receive the name you optionally provide, reply email, selected topic, message, consent time, and submission time. We use these details only to respond, operate support, prevent abuse, and maintain an appropriate record of the request.
An earlier website version accepted employer inquiries. The current site no longer accepts them. Any legacy contact name, work email, organisation, workforce-size range, and consent time remains subject to the 180-day deletion cycle below; you may also request earlier deletion through Support.
Do not send passwords, payment-card details, health information, or confidential employer data. Hosting providers may process limited request logs needed to secure and operate the website.
Retention and control
- Erase tracking history in Luma Settings removes local wake, snooze, departure, and arrival records; punctuality history and statistics; learned adjustments; and active lateness tactics. It keeps work schedules and alarm, commute, and morning preferences.
- Run setup again cancels Luma’s scheduled alarms and reopens onboarding so you can review or change those settings. It does not erase tracking history. Deleting Luma removes its remaining local app data.
- Erasing history, running setup again, or deleting Luma does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in App Store settings. Apple retains App Store subscription information under Apple’s policies and legal obligations; Luma does not keep a server-side copy.
- Support emails, website inquiries, and any legacy employer inquiries are normally deleted after 180 days. A shorter or longer period may apply when needed to complete a request, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.
- Short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit records are derived from request network information using a secret one-way code. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the inquiry database. The records stop being used after their 48-hour expiry and are removed by the next scheduled daily cleanup.
Sharing and tracking
Luma does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or use data for cross-app tracking. Information is shared only with service providers needed for website operation, when you direct us to, or when required by law. We require service providers acting for Luma to protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable law, and to use it only for the services they provide.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no system can promise absolute security. Apple and website infrastructure may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Children
Luma is a workday-planning app and is not directed to children under 13.
Questions, access, or deletion requests
Email support@tryluma.work with the subject Privacy request, or use the Luma Support form and choose Privacy request. Include the reply email used in the request you want us to locate. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Luma changes. The effective date above will identify the current version.
